Use this guide alongside the instructions and warnings supplied with your Orbit Muse set and adhesive products. If the packaging gives different instructions, follow the packaging.
Before you begin
- Choose your fit before ordering. Measure every natural nail and compare the widths with our Press-On Nail Size Guide. Orbit Muse units are available in fixed XS, S and M sizes. Each unit contains 5 nails for one hand; order 2 units for both hands, choosing a size for each hand.
- Check each nail. Lay out the 5 press-on nails for one hand in finger order and check the fit before using any adhesive. A press-on should cover the natural nail without pressing into the surrounding skin.
- Prepare clean, dry nails. Wash and dry your hands thoroughly. Gently push back the cuticle, lightly file only if directed, and use the supplied alcohol wipe to remove surface oil. Avoid hand cream or cuticle oil immediately before application.
- Choose your hold. Adhesive tabs are useful when easier removal is the priority. Liquid nail glue gives a firmer bond. Results vary with preparation, application, activity and natural nail condition.
Apply with adhesive tabs
- Select a tab that fits within the edges of your natural nail.
- Place the tab on the natural nail and smooth it down firmly, avoiding bubbles and the surrounding skin.
- Remove the protective film without touching the adhesive surface.
- Align the press-on just above the cuticle, lower it into place and press firmly across the whole nail.
- Repeat for each finger and avoid testing or lifting the edges once applied.
Apply with liquid nail glue
- Read the glue packaging in full before opening it.
- Use only the amount directed on the packaging. Too much glue can spread beyond the nail.
- Keep glue away from skin, eyes, clothing and other surfaces. Do not continue if the applicator or packaging is damaged.
- Align the press-on just above the cuticle, lower it carefully and press it in place without twisting.
- Repeat one nail at a time. Do not pull apart skin or materials that have become bonded; follow the product packaging and seek appropriate help if needed.
After application
Allow the adhesive to settle as directed on its packaging. Avoid unnecessary pressure, picking at the edges, or prolonged water exposure immediately after application. Wear and hold vary, so check each nail regularly and remove any nail that becomes loose rather than forcing it back into place.
Remove gently
Never pull, peel or force a press-on from the natural nail. Follow the removal directions supplied with the adhesive you used.
- Adhesive tabs: gently loosen an edge with the wooden stick only when it moves without force. Work slowly around the nail.
- Liquid glue: allow more time and follow the glue packaging exactly. Stop if you feel pain or see damage to the natural nail or surrounding skin.
If a press-on does not release easily, pause and continue the recommended removal process rather than prising it off.
Care, storage and reuse
- After removal, gently clear loose adhesive residue without filing away or thinning the press-on.
- Let the set dry fully before storage.
- Keep each nail in its case, away from direct heat, moisture and loose items that could scratch the finish or decoration.
- Before reapplying, check every nail for cracks, lifting decoration, sharp edges or other damage. Do not reuse a damaged nail.
Reuse depends on how the set was applied, worn, removed and stored. We do not promise a specific number of wears.
Safety
- Follow every warning on the adhesive and product packaging.
- Keep the set, glue, tabs and preparation items out of the reach of children.
- Do not apply over broken, sore, inflamed or infected nails or skin.
- Stop use if irritation or an adverse reaction occurs and seek appropriate professional advice where needed.
- For accidental contact or bonding, follow the adhesive packaging and seek urgent medical advice where appropriate.
